Simone Biles had the perfect clap back for 'Dancing with the Stars' judges

Don't tell Simone Biles to smile. That was the lesson learned by the judges on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday night.

The Olympian ran into some criticism after her routines. First, she was "too happy" following this performance of the foxtrot.

"Your skills are unquestionable," judge Carrie Ann Inaba said to Biles according to "Today." "You hit every line with precision and perfection. But once again, I'm going to come back to performance and authenticity about who you are when you perform. ... You have this beautiful smile, and you are a megastar with your energy, but once in a while, there's beauty without a smile. There's beauty in pain and all of the other emotions, and I'd like to see more of that."

OK. She's smiling too much, got it. Let's try this dance.

Much more stoic, so that should be a winner, right? RIGHT?!

Nope!

The judges criticized her after not smiling. However, Biles' response was perfect.

"Smiling doesn't win you gold medals," she said.

Mic. Drop.
