Kate Middleton officially starts new role as 'Patron of Wimbledon' (Yes, that's a real thing)

Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, officially got started in her new role as "Patron of Wimbledon" on Monday.

Yes, that is a real job. No, I don't remember ever seeing the job listed on Indeed.com.

Taking over the responsibilities from Queen Elizabeth, the Duchess met with tennis players Martina Navratilova and Kim Clijsters, as well as staff and ball kids at the All England Club.

She will reportedly be handing out some of the trophies to winners at the famed tournament throughout the fortnight as well, and likely shaking a lot of hands.

Here are some pictures of her first day on the job:

Note to Wimbledon and the royal family: I know the job is already filled, but if Middleton needs to take a sick day or something, please know I would be available to sub in.

Just throwing that out there.
