U.S. women's soccer team shares sadness after the U.S. men's devastating loss
The U.S. men's soccer team suffered a devastating loss on Tuesday night to Trinidad and Tobago and failed to advance to the World Cup for the first time since 1986.
Clearly it wasn't a great night for the team or its fans.
While many of us at home were feeling bummed (and simultaneously trying to determine who to root for this summer), past and present players on the women's team -- who, by the way, are the reigning World Cup champions -- were particularly upset for their peers.
So devastated for the guys, really feeling so terrible for them in this moment. #USAvTRI- Alex Morgan (@alexmorgan13) October 11, 2017

Welp, only 604 days until the 2019 Women's World Cup. At least we've got that to look forward to.
