Gymnast Averie Mitchell doesn't let a prosthetic leg slow her down

In need of some motivation to get your week going? Then look no further than young gymnast Averie Mitchell.

Competing over the weekend, the level 5 gymnast, who wears a prosthetic for one leg, wowed the crowd -- and Aly Raisman on Twitter -- with her incredible beam routine, which earned a 9.1. Born with a pseudarthrosis of the tibia, Mitchell had her right leg removed when she was 2 and has spent most of her life with a prosthetic. Clearly it has not slowed her down.

The inspiring gymnast is no stranger to the spotlight. Mitchell made news last year when she and her family adopted a puppy who also needed a leg prosthetic, and their sweet story is definitely worth checking out.
