Eugenie Bouchard and her Twitter date-turned-friend won the Super Bowl for the second straight year
For the Super Bowl in 2017, Eugenie Bouchard made a Twitter bet with a fan, who asked her to go on a date with him if the Patriots won. The bet went viral, and Bouchard stayed true to her word, later going on a date with said fan.
And after 12 months and a few hangouts, the tennis star and John Goehrke, the fan-turned-friend, were back celebrating their friendiversary at the Super Bowl in Minnesota on Sunday. Guests of NFL Canada, the pair took in some parties and attended the game. Likely because the Patriots united them in the first place, they both were rocking New England gear -- but still seemed to enjoy the experience all the same.
No bets for me tonight haha. Great game pic.twitter.com/1b9Yvydolg- Genie Bouchard (@geniebouchard) February 5, 2018
And if you're wondering if they're actually dating IRL, leave it to Bouchard to keep everyone guessing.
Not exactly Kylie Jenner-level secrecy here, but still well done.
