The U.S. women's soccer team wishes the hockey team luck ahead of gold medal showdown

The U.S. women's hockey team will play rival Canada on Thursday (or Wednesday night for those of us stateside) in the gold-medal match in Pyeongchang. It's the third straight meeting in the Olympic final for the longtime foes, with Canada wining both of the previous matchups.

However, while Canada may have also won their meeting during pool play, the U.S. squad has a secret good luck charm that their counterparts do not have --  the reigning World Cup champions. The U.S. women's soccer team wished the Americans luck on Twitter ahead of the game.

You know, champs recognize champs.

Co-sign on that "Go get that gold!" sentiment. U-S-A!
