The slithering fear that keeps the lights on at Serena's house
Over her 20-plus years in the public eye, Serena Williams has been known as many things: Tennis legend, Olympic gold medalist, fashion designer, mom, sister, Beyonce music video star and advocate. Just to name a few.
But on Sunday night, Williams showed us yet another side, one that most of us can relate to: scaredy-cat. The 36-year-old revealed she's afraid of the dark. She's so fearful she's going to get bitten by a snake when she goes to the bathroom that she leaves the lights on.
Soooooo every time I have to go to the bathroom at night I think a snake is going to bite me. So I always leave the lights on. #beingserena- Serena Williams (@serenawilliams) April 9, 2018
I mean, every super hero has her kryptonite, right? I just never realized Serena, you know, had one. Nor did I ever think it would be a totally legitimate fear that we all (or at least me) have.
