Meet your new favorite athlete: LPGA golfer and doggo lover Cindy LaCrosse

Are you in the market for a new rescue pet? Or, at least, a new favorite LPGA player? If you said yes to either of those questions, this story is for you.

Golfer Cindy LaCrosse is an animal lover, and she frequently posts pictures of her adorable dog, Fitz, who often travels with her. A few months ago, she started collecting supplies and delivering them to animal shelters near stops on the LPGA Tour and sharing pictures and videos of animals looking for homes. And on Wednesday, ahead of the NW Arkansas Championship, she not only stopped at the local Humane Society but also volunteered to cover the adoption costs for anyone who came in while she was there and found their fur-ever friend.

If that doesn't make her a total hero, I really don't know what does. And, because you've made it this far into the story and are clearly an animal lover as well, here are some pictures of LaCrosse's pup and others from previous shelters she's visited.

If I were to start a WeRateHumans account, I would give Cindy 15/10. I'd cheer her on at every LPGA event.
