13-year-old U.S. skating champion Alysa Liu's training playlist

A little over two weeks ago, 13-year-old Alysa Liu became the youngest-ever U.S. champion, breaking the record previously set by Tara Lipinski at age 15. Still too young to compete in the world championships -- or even the world junior championships -- Liu is focused instead on simply continuing to improve.

Sure, the 2022 Beijing Olympics are a goal. The Games will be held in her father's home country, but the 4-foot-7 phenom insists that for now she's happy to have time to practice before she takes on the world as a skater.

We got in touch with Liu the week after her breakout win to find out what music she listens to -- and it turns out the hip hop and indie songs on her playlist are a far cry from the "Witches of Eastwick" score she performs to on ice. But then again, she's a teenager. "I like these because they are all so catchy," she said. "I really love the Billie Eilish lyrics."
