Buzz That Was: Cupid And Vlad
In case you were too busy accidentally devouring your Valentine's Day candy early and missed out on sports, we've got you covered. Here's everything you missed last night.
Is anybody out there?
On Thursday, Nick Goepper won the bronze medal as part of the American sweep in the slopestyle skiing event. Friday, the 19-year-old decided to take advantage of his newfound fame and find himself a Valentine.

"Ya hah-chi loob vee" I'm looking for love- in Russian- Nick Goepper (@NickGoepper) February 14, 2014
Goepper and fellow medalists Joss Christensen and Gus Kenworthy, the patron saint of adorable puppies, went on the "Today" show on Friday morning. While they seemed obligated to talk about that skiing thing for a minute, the attention quickly turned to what really matters -- finding Goepper a date. Because can you imagine an Olympic medalist without a Valentine? OH, THE HORROR. "Today" even turned to its social-media followers in hopes of finding that special someone for him.
If you're looking for a way to kill time at work today or just want to be entertained, please go through the responses to the above tweet. You can thank me later.
And just in case you were like "an Olympic medal is OK but I REALLY need to be dating a guy who is on a cereal box," it is truly your lucky day.
A very important message
In what can only be defined as my favorite Olympic moment ever, Swedish slopestyle skier Henrik Harlaut threw up the W hand sign during Thursday's competition and yelled "Wu-Tang is for the children!"
If this doesn't say gold-medal moment, I'm not sure what does. There will never be a time in the future of time when I don't find this clip funny.
Let's face it ...
For three quarters on Thursday, it looked as if the Los Angeles Lakers were going to upset the NBA-best Oklahoma City Thunder. And even though they ultimately lost, 107-103, it might still qualify as the highlight of the Lakers' season. Kevin Durant scored 43 points to hand the Lakers their record-setting seventh straight home loss. Los Angeles fan Will Ferrell's facial expression from his courtside seat pretty much says it all.

That kind of fat
Two-time NBA All-Star Baron Davis will likely not be returning to the league. But that little fact didn't stop him from making a mockumentary-style clip called "The Comeback" with his buddy Steve Nash. So at least one member of the Lakers did something productive yesterday. Calling himself "Shaq fat" (not to be confused with "Charles Barkley fat"), Davis shows his sense of humor is still dominant. Even if his game isn't.
Olympic bobsledder and Internet sensation Johnny Quinn has gotten a lot of attention recently for his bathroom-door-breaking skills. And now it seems like it might have even gotten him a job. With a SWAT team.
(1/2) We are happy to announce that @JohnnyQuinnUSA has accepted our invite 2 come 2 one of our SWAT team training dates after the Olympics.- DENTON POLICE DEPT (@DENTONPD) February 11, 2014
Quinn's agent confirmed to the Denton (Texas) Police Department that he would be attending some training dates after he returned from Sochi. While being on a SWAT team is cool and all, I was kind of hoping he could just be a professional meme for the rest of his life. Don't bother trying to argue with me about the legitimacy of that career choice. It's right up there with President and pop star in my book.
American figure skater Ashley Wagner's reaction to her score during the team event might be the 2014 Winter Olympics version of McKayla Maroney's "Not Impressed" face. So naturally, it's now become a Valentine's Day card for you to share with your loved ones.

Mo Sochi, Mo Problems
DJ Steve Porter, most notably of Press Hop" fame, released his latest creation this week. Here's the Notorious B.I.G.-inspired Vladimir Putin rap you didn't know your life so desperately needed.
