After spending her junior season playing on the junior varsity team, Kyra Lambert has announced she's heading to Duke.

Kyra Lambert, the No. 4 prospect in the espnW HoopGurlz Super 60 for the 2015 class, has given a verbal commitment to play at Duke.

The 5-foot-8 point guard at Samuel Clemens (Schertz, Texas) also considered North Carolina, Notre Dame, South Carolina and Stanford. She had originally committed to Texas A&M before her freshman season.

Lambert spent last season playing on the junior varsity team at Clemens after she was ruled ineligible for varsity play by the University Interscholastic League after she transferred to Clemens from Steele. The state executive committee stated that her transfer was for athletic reasons, but the family has always maintained the move was for academic reasons.

Lambert is the third player from the 2015 class to commit to Duke, joining Faith Suggs and Haley Gorecki. Duke's 2014 class was ranked third in the nation.
