Senior guard Crystal Primm, 23, will bring intelligence and athleticism to the Blue Devils' backcourt.

A great recruiting class at Duke just got even greater.

Crystal Primm, a 5-foot-11 senior guard at Oxbridge Academy of the Palm Beaches (West Palm Beach, Florida) and the No. 46 senior prospect in the nation, has given a verbal commitment to play at Duke.

"I'm excited to play for a great school in a power conference," Primm said.

With the NCAA early signing period for women's basketball set to open Nov. 12, coach Joanne P. McCallie now has verbal commitments from five prospects in the espnW HoopGurlz Top 100. In addition to Primm, Duke has verbals from No. 5 Angela Salvadores, No. 9 Kyra Lambert, No. 25 Faith Suggs and No. 55 Haley Gorecki.

Duke's class was ranked third, behind Louisville and Connecticut, in the espnW HoopGurlz recruiting class rankings that were released last week.

"Aside from Duke being an elite academic institution, I really liked Coach P and the consistency of the program and the direction it's going," said Primm, whose other finalists were Auburn, Ohio State, Southern Cal and South Florida.

Primm carries a 3.7 GPA and plans to be a pre-med major at Duke.
