Miranda Elish had a team-high 249 strikeouts last season for Oregon.

Former Oregon softball stars Miranda Elish and Lauren Burke are following coach Mike White to Texas.

Elish, a junior right-handed pitcher, went 25-2 with a 1.20 ERA as a sophomore and was a second-team All-American. In April, she had the first seven-inning perfect game in Ducks history, against Portland State. In her two seasons at Oregon, Elish went 37-2 with a 1.42 ERA.

"I am so grateful for this opportunity and can't wait to get down to Austin and start working," Elish wrote on Twitter.

Burke, a sophomore utility player, was named to the Pac-12 all-freshman team after hitting .351 with three home runs and 19 RBIs.

White led Oregon to the No. 1 seed in the 2018 NCAA softball tournament, then accepted the job at Texas after the Ducks were eliminated from the Women's College World Series with back-to-back losses to runner-up Washington and champion Florida State in Oklahoma City.

Melyssa Lombardi, who had spent 21 years as an Oklahoma assistant, took over the Oregon program in July.

Texas went 33-26 last season and was eliminated in the regional round of the NCAA tournament.
