By the numbers: UCLA rolls past Florida in battle of unbeatens

No. 2 UCLA topped No. 3 Florida 7-1 Wednesday night in the first of two showdowns this week between the NCAA softball national championship contenders.

Here's a look at some of the key numbers from Game 1.

4: Earned runs allowed by Florida starter Kelly Barnhill in two innings. Coming into the game, Barnhill had allowed four earned runs on the season over 47 2/3 innings. Barnhill (9-1) also suffered her first loss of the season.

5: RBIs by Rachel Garcia, including a three-run homer in the fourth inning off Gators freshman reliever Danni Farley. Garcia, who also had her first career triple, went 4-for-4 on the night. The five RBIs were a career best for the reigning espnW player of the year.

13: Combined strikeouts for UCLA pitchers Holly Azevedo and Megan Faraimo. Azevedo's eight over five innings were a career best.
