U.S. Soccer and the U.S. women's team player's association on Wednesday agreed to terms of a new collective bargaining agreement through 2016.

With this part of the process completed, national team players allocated to clubs in the National Women's Soccer League will be joining their clubs as early as Wednesday.

"We are pleased to have concluded this agreement in a timely manner," reads the joint statement from U.S. Soccer and the players association. "It took a little longer than we had hoped given the complexity of the issues involved but we are happy it is now behind us."
