Multigame esports organization Misfits, now part-owned by the Miami Heat, announced in a YouTube video that Larry "Larry Lurr" Holland will be its new Super Smash Bros. for Wii U player.

Form California, Larry Lurr is considered to be the best Fox player in the world. He's currently ranked seventh, according to Panda Global's rankings.

"I got put into contact with Ben [Spoont], the CEO of Misfits. He seems like a very driven individual and I think it shows through the recent success of the team," Larry Lurr told ESPN.

Larry Lurr has a drive for success as well, and 2016 was a standout year for the Fox main. He took first at 2GGT: Mexico Saga and had podium finishes in multiple tournaments, including 2GGT: EE Saga, Get on My Level 2016, and 2GGT: ZeRo Saga.

Larry Lurr is known for having one of the most aggressive playstyles in the top 10. Capitalizing heavily on up-air juggles and off-stage shenanigans, he can quickly overwhelm opponents.

The move to Misfits comes as a surprise as it was just last June that Larry Lurr had joined Team eLevate. Now that Larry Lurr has a new home with Misfits, he's focusing on expanding his personal brand.

"The recent success of the team is motivating and I think it will push me to grow not only as a player, but also as a content creator," Larry Lurr said.

Larry Lurr is part of Misfits' growing fighting game roster. Last November, the team picked up Super Smash Bros. Melee player Ryan "The Moon" Coker-Welch.

Misfits has had recent success as an organization, especially in Overwatch. The team took first at Dreamhack Winter 2016 and the Overwatch Open.

Larry Lurr is set to make his Misfits debut Jan. 20-22 at Genesis 4 in San Jose, California.
