Esports organization mousesports announced Friday that it will return to Dota 2 with the signing of the former Ad Finem team.

Mousesports has been out of Dota 2 for nearly two years, according to a statement from the team. Its new roster will begin its time under mousesports in a big way with the Valve Kiev Major from April 27-30, which has a $3 million prize pool.

"The organization has made us feel at home from Day One," team captain Georgios "SsaSpartan" Giannakopoulos said in a statement. "I'm happy I get to share these moments and experiences with the rest of the team, and we are ready for anything. It will be an honor to walk this path with an organization as storied as mousesports."

SsaSpartan's squad came in second at the Boston Major in December. It was by far the most significant result of the year for the group, which capped a year of slightly more than $30,000 in prize money with a finish worth $500,000.

Mousesports CEO Cengiz Tüylü is betting that that standout performance will become the standard for his new team.

"Dota is one of the most exciting games in esports with a huge and very dedicated fanbase, amazing events and the biggest prize pools," he said in a statement. "We couldn't wait to get back into the Dota community, and I believe we found the perfect group to take this step."

"[M]ouz doto best doto," the announcement summarized.
