The Los Angeles Valiant traded South Korean tank Pan Seung "Fate" Koo to the Florida Mayhem on Friday in exchange for Caleb "McGravy" McGarvey, Russell "FCTFCTN" Campbell and Johannes "Shax" Nielsen from Mayhem Academy.
"Fate's contributions to the organization go beyond the Overwatch League," Valiant GM Michael Schwartz said of the deal in a release. "As one of the original Immortals players to make the transition to the Valiant, he played a key role not only in team's Inaugural Season success in OWL, but also as Immortals captured the Overwatch Contenders Season Zero title. We thank him for all he has given to the organization."
The Florida Mayhem had announced earlier this season it intended to transfer to an all-Korean squad. Fate helped South Korea win the 2018 Overwatch World Cup.
FCTFCTN, 25, figures to take over the main tank role for the Valiant, while McGravy, 22, slides into a flex-tank role. He'll likely back up Indy "Space" Halpern and provide depth for other roles.
Shax, 20, joins as a DPS player. While he didn't play in the inaugural OWL season, Shax did help Denmark to a third-place finish in the 2018 Overwatch World Cup Qualifiers in Thailand.
