  • Considered by many to be the greatest tennis player of all time, Roger Federer concluded the 2011 season with a win at the ATP Tour championship in London. He finished ranked in the top three for the ninth consecutive year, compiling a 4-2 record in finals and capping the season with a 17-match winning streak.
  • Rafael Nadal
  • In 2011, Rafael Nadal, one of tennis' most dominant and popular players, finished the season ranked in the top two for the seventh consecutive year. He also became the second-youngest player, at the age of 24 years and 10 months, to reach the 500-win benchmark, behind only Bjorn Borg. In 2012, he once again established his supremacy on clay with his record-setting seventh French Open title.
