  • At Winter X Games 2012, snowboarder Jamie Anderson dominated the Slopestyle competition, posting the highest score ever in a Winter X women's Snowboard Slopestyle final on her way to the gold medal. Seven weeks later, she defended her Winter X Games Tignes title with yet another gold medal performance. As if that wasn't enough, the South Lake Tahoe resident also won four Burton Open Slopestyle competitions, the overall Burton title and the TTR Slopestyle title.
  • Kelly Clark
  • One of snowboarding's most dominant athletes, Kelly Clark entered the 2012 season feeling stronger, fitter and happier than ever. That confidence was evident when she took the gold medal in the 2012 Winter X Women's SuperPipe competition, successfully defending her 2011 win. Later, in the French Alps, she became the first snowboarder to repeat gold at Winter Games X Tignes when she again stood atop the SuperPipe podium.
  • Carissa Moore
  • Surfer Carissa Moore had a breakout season in 2011. After finishing third in 2010, the Hawaiian native secured her first world title with a win at the Roxy Pro Biarritz in July. At 18, Moore became the youngest woman in history to win the ASP world championship. During her World Title season, Moore made the finals in six of seven events, winning three of them.
  • Kaya Turski
  • The most dominant female in ski slopestyle's young history, Kaya Turski successfully defended her 2011 golds at both Winter X 2012 and Winter X Tignes 2012, giving her three-peats in the two events. She also won both Dew Tour women's ski slopestyle competitions, claiming the overall Dew Tour slopestyle crown.
