Avengers sign Ex-Nebraska QB Keller to three-year deal

LOS ANGELES -- The Arena
Football League's Los Angeles Avengers have
signed former Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Sam Keller to a three-year free-agent contract.

Keller set a school record at Nebraska last season by completing
more than 63 percent of his passes in nine games for 2,422 yards
and 14 touchdowns.

But his season ended when he suffered a shoulder injury against
Texas in October. He wasn't picked in the NFL draft but practiced
for a short time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Keller transferred to Nebraska after playing three seasons at
Arizona State.
