All fighters make weight for UFC 131

VANCOUVER -- In preparation for his featherweight debut, former UFC contender Kenny Florian successfully navigated to the 146-pound limit during the UFC 131 weigh-in Friday -- although he didn't earn himself any Vancouver fans in the process.

A Massachusetts native, Florian (13-5) wore a Boston Bruins jersey to the scale just three hours before Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals was scheduled to begin in Vancouver.

His opponent, Diego Nunes (16-1), was far better received by the Vancouver crowd, countering Florian's wardrobe with a Canucks jersey. Nunes weighed in at 145 pounds.

All 22 fighters made weight for Saturday's UFC 131 event, set to take place at Rogers Arena.

Heavyweight Junior dos Santos (12-1) came in at 239 pounds for his main event fight against late replacement Shane Carwin (12-1). Carwin, who replaced Brock Lesnar on the card, tipped the scale at 254 pounds.

"I feel great," dos Santos said, after weighing in. "I know Shane is a tough opponent. Someone is getting knocked out tomorrow. Remember guys, don't blink."

Also appearing on the main card, heavyweights John Olav (6-1) and Dave Herman (20-2) will each make their UFC debuts. Herman will forfeit a bit of size in the fight, weighing in at 233 pounds to Olav's 261.
