Karablog: What to make of Ozzie Albies and his early-season power surge

After five early-season homers, is it time to already re-examine the fantasy value of Ozzie Albies? (Photo by David Banks/Getty Images)

Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies, who hit six home runs in 57 games with the big club last season, figured to be more of a statistical aid in the stolen base department rather than power category, but so far things have worked out differently. Albies homered Saturday -- there was no Sunday baseball for him and nearly half the league -- and enters the third full week of the season with five blasts in 14 games, quite impressive considering his size and pedigree. Albies is listed at 5-foot-8, 155 pounds, but in a world in which Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve dominates, his size -- anyone's size -- seems irrelevant.
