Hunter Renfroe's 14th home run puts him on a 34-homer seasonal pace, which would give him the third-best single-year total by any San Diego Padres hitter in the Petco Park era (2004 forward), behind only Adrian Gonzalez's 40 in 2009 and 36 in 2008. Renfroe is certainly a valuable power source, even on a bad offense and in a below-average park for power, but he's offering mainly situational value in fantasy -- even if it's pretty good in those spots. He's slashing an astonishing .323/.417/.645 with an 85 percent contact rate against lefties, so keep using him in every game against a lefty starter. He'll need to improve his contact rate against righties -- currently 65 percent -- to truly arrive on the shallow-mixed radar.
