The Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres are all currently using six-man rotations. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Indians have moved Danny Salazar to the bullpen, reverting back to a five-man rotation. The Houston Astros are also likely to revert to a five-man rotation during Week 23.

The New York Yankees will give Jordan Montgomery another start on Sept. 16, giving them a six-man rotation for Week 23.

Jacob Faria (abdominal), who was activated on Sept. 15, is expected to rejoin the Tampa Bay Rays as a reliever rather than starter, at least initially.

Carlos Rodon (DL: shoulder) has been ruled out for the season, so the Chicago White Sox gave Dylan Covey a spot start in his place on Tuesday and will give him another on Sept. 17. David Holmberg and Mike Pelfrey might also be considered for spot starts during the season's final two weeks.

Danny Duffy (DL: elbow) will rejoin the Kansas City Royals' rotation on Sept. 17.

Adalberto Mejia (biceps) made a successful rehabilitation start for Double-A Chattanooga on Saturday and should be ready to rejoin the Minnesota Twins' rotation on Sept. 16.

With Felix Hernandez (shoulder) and James Paxton (pectoral) back in action, the Seattle Mariners will go with a six-man rotation through Week 23.

Henderson Alvarez is expected to join the Philadelphia Phillies' rotation beginning on Sept. 17.

A.J. Cole will make a spot start for the Washington Nationals on Sept. 16, providing their other starters an additional day's rest.

Jake Arrieta (hamstring) won't be ready to rejoin the Chicago Cubs' rotation during Week 23.

The Los Angeles Dodgers skipped Hyun-Jin Ryu's turn in their week-opening rotation, but they're expected to reinsert him on Sept. 17.
