Throughout the 2018 NFL season, I studied fantasy football in the film room. And during that 17-week stretch, there were players who consistently jumped off the screen. Take 49ers tight end George Kittle, for example. Monster numbers in an offense under Kyle Shanahan that featured him as a weapon in the passing game. There were rising stars, too, such as Bears running back Tarik Cohen. Electric ability in Matt Nagy's modern pro system. Matchups all day.
However, along with the guys I loved to watch every week, there were also players I missed on leading into the start of the season. Bucs rookie running back Ronald Jones? Yeah, I was all over his college tape. In Tampa? Limited snaps, limited numbers. Bust.
Let's go back to the film one more time to wrap up the fantasy football season. Here are my hits and misses from 2018, the next group of future stars and some players to keep on that fantasy radar for the 2019 season. Skill sets, system fits, future production and more.
Among fantasy's greatest hits
Here are five players I couldn't wait to study every week during the 2018 season.
