ESPN Deportes will launch as a 24-hour Spanish-language sports network Wednesday night with a program lineup that features three live editions of SportsCenter (8:30 ET, 11 ET, and 2 a.m. ET) as well as a live NBA telecast of the Warriors-Mavs at 9 ET.

ESPN Deportes will debut at 8 ET with Somos ESPN Deportes, a show that features an array of Latino sports stars, including Eduardo Najera of the Mavericks, Bernie Williams of the New York Yankees, and veteran race car driver Adrian Fernandez.

Following the launch, ESPN Deportes plans to showcase more than 200 live events in its first year, including games from the NBA, Major League Baseball, the NFL and UEFA Champions League, tennis coverage from Wimbledon and the French Open, and selected boxing events.

In addition to its live event telecasts, ESPN Deportes will also offer a variety of sports news and information shows. Starting in 2001, ESPN Deportes began offering full Sunday night schedules of MLB and NFL games, and exclusive boxing matches. In 2000, was launched, soon becoming one of the leading Spanish-language sports sites on the Web.
