Steve Stricker throws out first pitch at CitiField, then Mets hit back-to-back home runs to start. Maybe the Phillies should've signed him.

At No. 8 on the U.S. Ryder Cup points list and with the top-eight players earning automatic roster spots after this week, Patrick Reed is firmly on the bubble. But he's also doing his best to ensure that he won't be two days from now. After an opening 5-under 66 at The Barclays, Reed played the front-nine in 3-under today and now leads Jason Day by one stroke as he makes the turn.

Patrick Reed + Ryder Cup bubble = Dude with extra motivation. He's 4-under through seven holes and now leads by two.
