Arnold Palmer's grandson, Sam Saunders: "I spoke with him yesterday. He said, ‘Don't worry about me. Take care of your family.'”

Re Arnie and Cherry Hills: only U.S Open (lost 3 in playoffs); Jack's first of 19 2nds in majors (at age 20). Hogan, 48, in mix (till 71st)

Jason Sobel @JasonSobelESPN

Reading so many Arnold Palmer tributes this morning. One thought comes to mind: We lost the most universally revered figure in the world.

Arnold Palmer not only changed golf, he changed sports business. The sports marketing industry began when Mark McMormick signed Arnie to IMG

Just saw Johnny Miller in the Atlanta airport, one of the many with links to Arnold Palmer. Miller's 1973 US Open win at Oakmont came partly at Palmer's expense. Miller shot the first 63 in a major to come from well back. It was the last great chance Arnie had to win a major.
