David Lee doesn't need surgery, per his agent Mark Bartelstein. He's got a sprained patellar tendon that should heal in about six weeks.

There were concerns when Rory McIlroy had just three tournaments following an injury layoff to prepare for the Masters. Now it appears he'll have had just one going into the U.S. Open. McIlroy said Friday he would not be playing next week's Memorial Tournament due to a lingering rib injury that kept him out of action earlier this year and also caused him to skip the European Tour's BMW PGA Championship this week. McIlroy's lone tournament since the Masters was the Players Championship, where he disclosed the injury was bothering him again.
