Jon Rahm was unknowingly caught on camera by Rory McIlroy as the European team continue to bond here at the Ryder Cup. "After the round, after Rory drove it past me 50 yards on pretty much every hole, I was on the physio table with needles in me," Rahm said Tuesday. "Because of jet-lag, I was completely asleep. So Rory decided it was a perfect time to take a picture in my underwear and post it on the [group whatsapp] chat and said I couldn't handle him hitting it past me every single drive."

Justin Rose's $10m windfall from winning the FedEx Cup will take a dent this week in Paris from his fellow Europe teammates. "Apparently all the drinks are on my tab this week," Rose said, but he added he will only start celebrations on Sunday for what he hopes will be toasting both his own triumph and Europe taking back the Ryder Cup.

Serious question: Why not open this Ryder Cup off right Friday morning and put Tiger Woods-Phil Mickelson together in the very first group at 8:10 a.m. local time? The atmosphere on No. 1 at Le Golf National is already going to be electric. Why not start the show with Tiger-Phil and really make it epic?

Rory McIlroy understands the world has mixed feelings about Sergio Garcia. "Everyone loves Sergio ... at least in our team room."

Nick Pietruszkiewicz ESPN.com

Rory McIlroy has thoughts on what has changed with the U.S. and their approach to the Ryder Cup: "The togetherness seems to be a little more there than it might have been in the early 1990s and 2000s."

That's John McEnroe putting on his team jacket while Kurt Russell and Samuel L. Jackson try to figure out how close the U.S. team is to winning. Greg Kinnear (blue glove) watches the 18th hole.

Bjorn: I hope these players learn something from me

Europe Team captain Thomas Bjorn looked ahead on Tuesday to the 42nd Ryder Cup, as his players practiced at Le Golf National outside of Paris.

Phil Mickelson said he would welcome playing with Tiger this week at the Ryder Cup. Will Captain Jim Furyk make it happen? Sounds like Phil knows, but he's not telling.

Bryson DeChambeau walked into a press center that was far less crowded than it was a few minutes earlier when it was occupied by Tiger Woods. He couldn't help but fire off a joke. "Sure, that's ok. I mean, I am higher in the world rankings than him but that's fine."

Nick Pietruszkiewicz ESPN.com

The European side wasn't going to set up Le Golf National golf to help the Anericans' longer hitters: "It's a little tighter and a lot more rough [than two years ago at Hazeltine]. Very different setup," Tiger Woods said.

Surprising song being played on the grounds of the Ryder Cup at Le Golf National: Born in the U.S.A. We are in France, right?

Phil Mickelson has kick-started the European-American rivalry here at the Ryder Cup, having arrived in Paris earlier today. He tweeted: "Arrived in Paris with team USA. Heading to the course now and can't wait to get started! So fun having that little extra piece of luggage with us. You know...THE CUP!" Team Europe will hope the Cup was brought here on a single, rather than a return ticket.

Football stadium? Nope. Baseball? Nope. This is the first tee at the Ryder Cup. And these grandstands hold 6,500 fans. Bring the noise.

The European team bonded over a 10-minute video of impressions by Conor Moore on Monday night here at the Ryder Cup in Paris. Francesco Molinari was chief victim. He faced the press Tuesday morning and was his usual, understated self but commenting on the impression said: "I'm actually thinking of it all the time now answering questions, trying to smile a bit more....can't you tell the difference?"

Ian Poulter lost his game once upon a time and wondered if he'd ever get it back. So he knows, at least a little, what Tiger Woods was going through. "It's inspirational to see the way he's come back," Poulter said.
