After starting year with MCs in four of six starts, Brooks Koepka finished 9th and 11th in last two. Front-nine 31 has him tied for lead.

Kevin Chappell owns six career runner-up finishes on the PGA Tour without a win. He leads entering final round in search of his first one.

I once asked the Tim Finchem (former PGA Tour commissioner) what's the biggest slow play culprit on tour. "Wind. (Expletive) wind slows golf down worse than anything else by far." The final group today at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio played the first two holes in 54 minutes. That would be an 8 hour round if they stayed on that pace! They're playing in a wind that's coming from a different direction than the players have seen all week. Cooler temps (62F) and gusts over 20mph are proving the former commissioner's observation to be spot on.
