Tiger Woods has not played since the Ryder Cup but he's managed to move past Jordan Spieth in the Official World Ranking. That would have seemed unthinkable at the start of the year, when Spieth was No. 2 and coming off a victory at The Open; Woods was 656. Woods moved to 13th after his Tour Championship win, dropped back to 14th last week, then went to 13th again this week as Spieth fell to 13th following his tie for 55th in Las Vegas. Spieth did not win in 2018. It is the first time Woods has been ahead of Spieth since August of 2014.
