A clearly devastated but gracious runner-up Matt Kuchar joked that he "got comfortable, told a few stories" while Jordan Spieth took his detour on the 13th. "I understand in that situation, it's hard. I didn't lose any momentum," he says of the 20-minute delay.

Matt Kuchar: "It's crushing. It hurts. It's a hard one to sit and take.. but there's an excitement to have played well and put up a battle."

Webb Simpson @webbsimpson1

Shoutout to Kuch too. Guy played tough all day. Could've easily been his tourney. He's the epitome of class.

Can't really put what we just saw into words. Spieth is nuts. Huge congrats to he and Greller. So much fun to watch. Great for golf

Spieth with Claret Jug: "Drank some wine out of this when Zach Johnson won it. People told me that was bad luck. I started to believe them."

Jason Sobel ESPN Senior Writer

Jordan Spieth didn't just win The Open in dramatic fashion on Sunday afternoon. The soon-to-be 24-year-old claimed a third leg of the career grand slam, second-youngest to only Jack Nicklaus to claim that feat. That means Spieth-mania will continue three weeks from now, when he'll have a chance to become the sixth player to win that grand slam at the PGA Championship.

.#TheOpen has always been my favorite golf major. That last 1:15 of Spieth's ridiculous adventure will always rank up there for me.
