Rickie Fowler revealed that he received text messages of encouragement last night from, among others, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas and Tiger Woods, the last of whom told him: "Go get it done tomorrow."

Fowler also got texts from Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas, among others. Phone was blowing up last night.

Jhonatton Vegas hit a hole in one and bought the media beer. Rickie Fowler won the tournament and bought everyone champagne. Advantage Fowler

It's official: Rickie Fowler has closed out his 54-hole lead, winning the Honda Classic by a 4-stroke margin with a final-round 71. At 28, Fowler now has seven career professional victories, including four on the PGA Tour.

Ow says the wallet! Gary Woodland's bogey-bogey finish Sunday at the Honda Classic cost him $128,000. Woodland ended in a tie with Morgan Hoffmann at -8. A solo second place finish would have been worth $691,200. Instead, both players receive $563,200. Still not a bad week's pay.

It's official: Rickie Fowler wins the Honda Classic -- his seventh career professional victory and fourth on the PGA Tour.

I became a Rickie Fowler fan the day he honored Payne Stewart at Pinehurst by dressing like him. Young gun with an old soul.

Luke Donald @LukeDonald

The art of a great player is getting it done despite not having your best. Great patience, resilience and putting by Rickie today

Luke Donald @LukeDonald

Rickie playing the last with a 5 shot lead and Johnnie Miller saying he's not sure what this will do for him as he didn't play that great 😂

How tough were scoring conditions Sunday at the Honda Classic? Jhonattan Vegas teed off at 9:45am tied for 50th; he's now tied 4th place after a round-of-the-day 64 (-6).

Jason Sobel @JasonSobelESPN

Rickie Fowler had never won from 54-hole lead. Entered today with a 4-stroke lead and now up 5 with two holes to play. Proving he can close.

Michael Collins ESPN Senior Writer

And just like that... Gary Woodland three putts the 17th hole for bogey while Rickie Fowler hits a spectacular second shot in to the 16th hole inside 4 feet. Five shot lead with two holes to play.

For the first three rounds of the Honda Classic, Jimmy Walker was -5 playing "The Bear Trap" (holes 15-17). Sunday he played those three holes in +5.

Rickie Fowler through 13 holes today: -- 4 birdies -- 6 pars -- 2 bogeys -- 1 double Now leads by 3 once again.

Honda is giving Jhonattan Vegas a car (Honda CRV) for his hole-in-one on the par three 15th Sunday morning. Originally only Scott Stallings was supposed to get a car since he made the FIRST ace on that hole Thursday at the Honda Classic. Remarkably, there had never been a hole-in-one on that hole during the tournament before this year!

Best thing about a Rickie Fowler title contention is all the old dudes in the gallery dressed exactly like Rickie Fowler.
