Richard Green closes with 65 for win

VILAMOURA, Portugal -- Richard Green shot a 65 Sunday to win the Portugal Masters over a group of four players two strokes back.

Green began the final round at the Oceanico Victoria Club seven shots adrift of overnight leader Pablo Martin of Spain, but the left-hander from Australia took a clubhouse lead of 18-under 270 and never was caught.

It was Green's third victory on the European Tour, but his first since the 2007 BA-CA Open in Austria.

Francesco Molinari of Italy shot a 62, Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano of Spain had a 68, Robert Karlsson of Sweden a 67 and Joost Luiten of Netherlands a 69 to share second at 16 under.

Martin finished in a three-way tie for sixth at 15 under after a 75.
