Hole 9

The skinny:
This uphill dogleg right has been given some teeth for the PGA Championship. A new tee has added 35 yards, making it a difficult driving hole. "Death Valley" awaits wayward drives to the right -- any drive in the right rough leaves player with little choice but to chip out. The left side of the fairway slopes to the left, so any tee shot to the left side of the fairway will likely find the rough. Because of this, the 25-yard wide fairway plays much narrower. Players will likely be left with a mid-iron shot to a green is shaped smaller in the back. Missing the putting surface to the back-left will result in a tough up-and-down.
