Ochoa wins her third title in nine starts

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Lorena Ochoa of Mexico captured her third Futures Tour title in nine starts Sunday by taking first place in the $70,000 Betty Puskar Classic.

Ochoa, who left the University of Arizona in May to turn professional, closed with a 3-under 69 on the 6,529-yard, par-72 The Pines Country Club course. She finished at 9-under 207 for the tournament.

Erika Wicoff and Teresa Ishiguro took second at 7-under 209 with Wicoff finishing with a 66 and Ishiguro a 70.

Ochoa won $9,800. Besides the three victories, Ochoa has placed second four times in the nine tournaments and only once finished out of the top five.
