ESPNHS Games heat up

The 2012 ESPNHS Games are taking place this week at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Thousands of high school athletes are taking part in the fourth annual event, which features competition in football, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, softball, field hockey, and track and field.

Here are some highlights from Monday's action at the ESPNHS Games:

KSA Events National Football Summer 7s

Elite 11 MVP Asiantii Woulard flew straight from the Elite 11 finals in Redondo Beach, Calif., to participate in the KSA football event with his Winter Park High School 7-on-7 team.

AAU Boys' Basketball 11th Grade Silver Super Showcase

The Nolan Richardson Arkansas Mustangs were crowned champions of the AAU Boys' Basketball 11th Grade Silver Super Showcase, defeating the Ivey 23 Terps of Washington, D.C., 60-33.

Champion All-American Showcase (Girls' Lacrosse)

After Monday's pool play, the teams were seeded for the championship and consolation games. The Freedom and Liberty squads play Tuesday in the championship game.
