Chicago SPARQ All-Combine team

LAKE BARRINGTON, Ill. -- The Chicago Nike Football SPARQ Combine made its made its way to the Windy City with over 950 athletes in attendance over the holiday weekend. While many had strong performances, only 24 were good enough to make the All-Combine team.

Note: Selections are based upon combine performance as well as past and projected on-field performance. Athletes must have completed two of the four combine tests to be eligible for selection. Athletes are in the Class of 2013 unless otherwise noted.

OFFENSE

QB: Javon Harrison, 6-0, 208, Wayne (Huber Heights, Ohio)

Results: 4.72 40, 4.30 SH, 43-5 PB, 27.9 VJ, 103.17 SPARQ

Breakdown: This is Harrison's second standout performance this year, as he increased his rating over 10 points from the Ohio combine several weeks ago.

RB: Austin Guido, 5-10, 192, Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, Ill.)

Results: 4.67 40, 4.03 SH, 39-5 PB, 31.1 VJ, 109.86 SPARQ

Breakdown: Second year in a row the speedy back performed at an elite level.

RB: Chris James ('14), 5-9, 175, Notre Dame (Niles, Ill.)

Results: 4.48 40, 4.35 SH, 34-0 PB, 37.4 VJ, 105.06 SPARQ

Breakdown: A great day for the young back who saw a 20-point increase in his rating from a year ago.

RB: Brian Jennings, 5-10, 190, MacArthur (Decatur, Ill.)

Results: 4.71 40, 4.35 SH. 41-0 PB, 35.7 VJ, 108.45 SPARQ

Breakdown: Jennings had a breakout performance with over 1,000 yards and nine scores this past year.

WR: Jazz Peavy, 6-1, 169, Tremper (Kenosha, Wis.)

Results: 4.50 40, 4.00 SH, 40-5 PB, 33.8 VJ, 122.52 SPARQ

Breakdown: Coming off an All-State season in the Badger State, the lean receiver had the day's top rating and the second highest rating at his position so far on the 2012 tour.

WR: Mike Dudek, 5-10.5, 163, Neuqua Valley (Naperville, Ill.)

Results: 4.61 40, 3.91 SH, 37-5 PB, 37.0 VJ, 114.72 SPARQ

Breakdown: Elusive slot receiver impressed with combine's top shuttle time.

OL: Juan Salazar, 6-0, 292, Raytown South (Mo.)

Results: 5.39 40, 4.61 SH, 34-5 PB, 23.2 VJ, 71.67 SPARQ

Breakdown: Don't get caught with lack of height, Salazar has the power and quickness to be a dominant blocker in the run game.

OL: Luther Wright ('14), 6-1, 281, East St. Louis (Ill.)

Results: 5.74 40, 4.86 SH, 33-0 PB, 25.2 VJ, 63.03 SPARQ

Breakdown: Big man looks to be another solid prospect from one of the state's top programs.

OL: Tyler Brown, 6-1, 272, Richwood (Peoria, Ill.)

Results: 5.19 40, 5.12 SH, 47-0 PB, 30.8 VJ, 93.42 SPARQ

Breakdown: A two-way standout for Richwoods, Brown looks to be a solid guard prospect and merits more attention after strong performance.

OL: Brent Morrow ('14), 6-0.5, 277, Ladue Horton Watkins (St. Louis)

Results: 5.24 40, 4.96 SH, 36-5 PB, 26.2 VJ, 72.72 SPARQ

Breakdown: The center/guard prospect will be one to check in on over the next two years after an All-State season as a sophomore.

OL: Cody Campbell, 6-2.5, 255, Seymour (Ind.)

Results: 5.05 40, 4.78 SH, 33-0 PB, 28.2 VJ, 71.34 SPARQ

Breakdown: Big man tested well and showed he has the skill set to play college ball.

ATH: Tommy Fuessel, 6-2, 176, Lincoln-Way (Frankfort, Ill.)

Results: 4.46 40, 4.18 SH, 38-0 PB, 37 VJ, 115.26 SPARQ

Breakdown: Athletic quarterback will have to make the most of his senior season after being named the starter this spring.

DEFENSE

ATH: Miguel Hermosillo, 5-10, 189, Ottawa Township (Ottawa, Ill.)

Results: 4.52 40, 4.27 SH, 37-0 PB, 35.4 VJ, 107.34 SPARQ

Breakdown: A great junior season led to league offensive MVP honors and is a game-changing safety.

DL: Antonio Leachman, 6-1, 241, Kirkwood (Mo.)

Results: 5.13 40, 4.41 SH, 39-5 PB, 27.9 VJ, 87.15 SPARQ

Breakdown: Athletic rush end has the speed and strength to be an unstoppable force off the line.

DL: A.J. Kehm, 6-3.5, 255, Newman Catholic (Mason City, Iowa)

Results: 5.16 40, 4.75 SH, 40-0 PB, 33.7 VJ, 94.02 SPARQ

Breakdown: Highest rated at his position, Kehm will look to showcase skills on camp circuit this spring in hopes of increasing interest.

DL: Kahill McKenzie ('15), 6-3, 277, Southwest (Green Bay, Wis.)

Results: 5.19 40, 4.70 SH, 38-0 PB, 23.7 VJ, 76.71 SPARQ

Breakdown: Future looks very bright for the talented big man.

LB: Clint Koons, 6-0, 196, Holt (Wentzville, Mo.)

Results: 4.90 40, 4.09 SH, 31-0 PB, 34.0 VJ, 88.92 SPARQ

Breakdown: A force in the middle accounted for 102 tackles earning third team All-State honors.

LB: Mason Burnett, 6-4, 204, Fort Zumwalt East (St. Peters, Mo.)

Results: 4.65 40, 4.20 SH, 40-0 PB, 36.3 VJ, 115.65 SPARQ

Breakdown: The well built 'backer made the most of the combine with a great performance, proving to be completely recovered from an ankle injury that cost him the majority of his junior season.

LB: Jordan Jackson, 5-11.5, 220, Decatur Central (Indianapolis, Ind.)

Results: 4.91 40, 4.18 SH, 36-0 PB, 29.6 VJ, 92.07 SPARQ

Breakdown: Jackson was a force in the backfield accounting for 18 tackles for a loss with 70 tackles, leading his team to a 7-3 record.

LB: Dorian Hendrix ('14), 5-11.5, 219, Wayne (Huber Height, Ohio)

Results: 4.66 40, 4.41 SH, 34-0 PB, 28.4 VJ, 86.79 SPARQ

Breakdown: Made a huge impact as a first year starter notching 119 tackles and six sacks as just a sophomore.

DB: Alex Schwab, 6-1, 192, Hale (West Allis, Wis.)

Results: 4.73 40, 4.40 SH, 36-5 PB, 33.8 VJ, 91.98 SPARQ

Breakdown: Hard work is paying off for Schwab who saw an improvement in every test after attending the Atlanta combine earlier this year.

DB: Allen Lazard ('14), 6-4.5, 190, Urbandale (Iowa)

Results: 4.88 40, 4.33 SH, 33-5 PB, 36.2 VJ, 87.51 SPARQ

Breakdown: Selected to the Des Moines Register All-State team after a stellar sophomore year.

DB: Aarion Penton, 5-9, 175, Christian Brothers (St. Louis)

Results: 4.54 40, 4.63 SH, 34-0 PB, 31.7 VJ, 81.12 SPARQ

Breakdown: Multiple All-State selections caught the attention of Missouri coaches, where he recently committed.

DB: Kevin Green, 5-10.5, 161, Rich Central (Olympia Fields, Ill.)

Results: 4.65 40, 4.30 SH, 27-0 PB, 37.6 VJ, 81.03 SPARQ

Breakdown: Great day for the cover corner who has the ideal length coaches look for on the next level.
