ESPN Player Evaluations

EOT-July 11: Tinkle showed a lot of growth in her confidence as a ballhandler and scorer. She is stepping into her potential and with her athleticism and length on the perimeter, she could really make an impact in college. Her strength in traffic is much improved, allowing her to be in full control on dribble penetration and giving her the ability to convert consistently in transition. She's a player that doesn't need a lot of shots to make a difference because she'll set screens, crash the glass, defend, move without the ball -- all the intangibles and extras coaches wish their leading scorers would do more of a lot of the time. She's steady and dependable at either wing position and should have plenty of choices both in BCS and non-BCS conferences. (Hansen)

AZ Elite Spring Classic-April 10: Elleson Tinkle may share the same last name as her older sister, Joslyn, but that's about the only thing they have in common when it comes to the game of hoops. While the older Tinkle was a phenominal scorer as a prep player, the younger Tinkle has spread her game to do many things well on both sides of the ball. Elleson is a lean, long, athlete at 6-2 with an imposing wing span. She tends to be more denfesive minded, getting things started with her stingey on-ball pressure and using her long arms to reek havoc on the perimeter and in the passing lanes. Although she runs like a deer in the open court, Elleson will bully her way down lown to position and fight for tough rebounds, another nice facet of her game. In each game I saw, Tinkle was the leading rebounder. With basketball in the family blood, Elleson should continue to hone her skills both offensively and defensively and distinquish herself as a reason to keep an eye on things happening in Montana.
