ESPN Player Evaluations

Louisville Invitational-Jan. 2012: Athlete, smaller off guard. Driver off the catch. Did hit a 3 out of the left corner. Flat release. Doesn't look fluid in delivery but it drops consistently. Right-hand dominant. Pull up at 10 feet as well. Good ball skill in the open floor, can create shots for herself. (Clay)

USJN Great Plains-May. 11: Not her best performance. The entire team seemed out of sync with each other making it difficult for any individual to stand out from the crowd. Wright's explosiveness was still hard to miss and her attack on occasion was eye-catching. The consistency and defensive effort we've seen in the past was hard to find and hopefully an exception to her usual performance standards. (Lewis)

Raatz Fence-Jan 11: This physically strong and compact 5-7 guard can get from A to B with the ball in her hands about as quickly as any player out there. To say that she is explosive with the ball is an understatement, and there are few possessions that's she's not looking to attack off the drive. Despite a deep roster, DuPont Manual did lose a step when she had to sit a few minutes with foul problems, and it wasn't coincidence that the pace picked back up on her return. She can hit from the perimeter, but the shot tends to come across her body and forward, which could lead to some inconsistency and allow defenders to close out with more of a gap. Although she knocked down a couple of pull-ups, there was some drifting to be addressed as well. On the defensive end this is someone opposing point guards do not want to see coming their way. She's active and physical and has the hands and feet to turn ballhandlers again and again. (Lewis)

Classic in the Country-Jan. 11: Wright is a solid, strong guard with impressive quickness. She can attack off the dribble and isn't hesitant to get into traffic in the lane. The pull up is there if help rotates her way but she also will deliver the sharp pass with some zip on it. Has the tools to be a strong defender with her aggressive approach on the ball. (Lewis)

Deep South Classic-April 10: Wright is a quick shifty hard with excellent ball handling skills. She has nice looking jump shot and is a confident scorer.
