ESPN Player Evaluations

USJN DC-July 10: Coming into her own may well be a big understatement when talking about Hamby. Each time out there seems to be more and more confidence in her play resulting in impressive production. The physical size, reach and vertical give her a much more imposing presence than most 6-3 forwards and her effort helps her exploit those traits. She demonstrated a more effective high post game including some 15 foot jumpers that should keep most defenders honest. (Lewis)

Battle For The Boro-July 10: Starting to come into her own athletically and skill wise. Impressive size and length as well as mobility. Starts the break with her boards or gets out and runs the floor with the guards when she doesn't rebound. Her vertical combines with an extensive reach that makes her a force defensively and on the glass. Every aspect of her game is becoming more and more refined and making her someone to watch. (Lewis)

Midwest Showdown-May 10: The Georgia Pistols may have one of the deepest rosters this summer and their run to the semifinals is good evidence of its effectiveness. Over the course of the weekend one of their most consistent performers was this 6-3 forward. Her agility and speed make her a weapon at both ends and a challenge for opposing interior players. Her active play created opportunities in the halfcourt and she was a consistent option in transition if she wasn't making the outlet pass. She has an impressive reach which served her well in pulling in wild passes or grabbing rebounds. She reads defenders well and finishes consistently around the rim. Defensively she sees the floor well from the weakside and limits second shots by getting on the glass. (Lewis)

Peach State-May 10: Hamby is a long 6-foot-2. She is very mobile for a post and shows a strong basketball I.Q. and is avery good passer from the blocks and high post. (Hansen)
