ESPN Player Evaluations

Nike Nationals-July 2013 Jet-quick floor-leader handles and penetrates, distributes; confident demeanor with range to the arc; pesky defender, active in passing lanes; uptempo contributor. (Olson)

WCP Spring Invit.-May 12: It may be easy to look over a player who stands 5-5, but overlooking Butler will be a huge mistake. She is one of the quickest players in the class -- and not just with her feet. She has stealthy quick hands and is good for several on-ball steals a game, even against good players. She makes good decisions on the break, and in the open court she is at her best, but also has the ability to break a defender down in the half court. The question with Butler may be if she can handle the bigger, more physical guards at the elite level. (Hansen)

WCP Spring Invitational-May 11: Slight build but super quick. She is shifty with the ball and plays aggressive, forcing the issue with her defender and negating some of the size advantages her opponents may have against her. Good in transition. (Hansen)

EBA Super 64 West-June 12: Smaller frame but has great handles while playing under control. Great change of speed with the ball and will finish with both hands through traffic. She has lightning speed but she makes it look smooth and plays within herself. (Gray)
