ESPN Player Evaluations

Summer Invitational July '11: Point guard, little. Decent athlete. Has some ball skill. Finisher, streaky shooter. Had 15 points in the 1st half vs. Low Country Ballers. (Clay)

Basketball on the Bayou July '10: Because White moves and hits like a cannon ball, it almost hardly matters that she is just 5-3. It's plain fun watching her juke and fake her way into the lane, lift off and perform all sorts of mid-air gyrations to deliver the ball to the rim. She also will take a lick and collect her points at the free-throw line, not to mention kick the ball out to someone who can get the points in a less punishing fashion. And in case defenses want to play off her, White has a nice 3-point stroke and will pull off the bounce, particularly going left. Though undersized, White makes herself a pest on defense, going into whirlwind mode at that end of the floor. (Nelson)

Basketball on the Bayou 2009: Because Emani White of the Kenner Angels is just 5-2, she will require a college coach who can commit to using a small point guard. In White's case, the payoffs can be large. She is a fearless penetrator who can go on a dead sprint with her left hand. White really can turn the corner on a defender and, once in a crowd, can finish in spite of her size by adjusting her shot in the air or use a jump stop, ball fake to freeze the defense and step around it for baskets. At either end, she is just a whirlwind on the court, instilling energy into her team and, presumably on the next level, into any crowd. (Nelson)
