ESPN Player Evaluations

Boo Williams-April 12: True point guards have the ability to control the game and make it easier for players around them. This weekend, the 5-8 Washington of Tulsa, Okla., showed she had the full package as a true point guard. The No. 18 prospect in the Super 60 was in complete control all weekend as she managed to effectively score the basketball while also setting the table for her teammates to make plays on their own. This weekend Washington turned heads with her play and proved she deserved her spot among the elite guards in the country. (Moore)

Flava Jam-July 11: Washington continues to show why she should be among the top point guards in the 2013 class. Quite a few of the recruiters present had not seen her and nobody left unimpressed. The smooth fluidity of her skills combine with quickness and speed to allow her to create... Click here for the full evaluation and tip sheet.

USA U16 Trials-May 11: One of the standout point guards of the trials, especially early, Washington was on her game early. Her quickness is on par with any in the class and she can change directions under pressure and make the defender pay for getting too close. She keeps the ball low in most of her dribble moves and thus she rarely lets a feisty defender get a tip. She is very smooth with the ball, even at full speed. In transition she showed good speed and she kept her eyes up the court and could deliver pass with ease. Her jumper has a really quick release but it is consistent, though her wrist is a little loose at the top. She is better right now against man-to-man defense than against zone but she did show the patience to execute the offense against zone. (Hansen)

Quick ball handler who can push tempo. Excellent on ball defender does a good job slowing the ball down- creates turnovers. Shoots well from the wing. (Bodine)

An surprising and impressive performance came from this ultra smooth point guard from Tulsa. With the ball in her hands she created with a fluid grace that got her deep in the lane time and again. Sharp ball skills were assisted by a conscious use of both change of speed and direction to keep opponents off balance. Add to that an attacking mentality and you've got a recipe for some results. Her form is confident and sound as well as a threat with some range. Occasionally she got herself caught in the air leading to forced passes or turnovers, but her decisions as a whole were solid. Her physical build is still on the lean and slight side but her lateral speed and quickness more than make up for it on the defensive end of the floor. Look for more. (Lewis)

Nike Summer Showcase-July 10: Young, athletic point guard. Sees the floor well and has lots of tools. Keep watching. (Lewis)
