ESPN Player Evaluations

Nike Nationals-July 2014: Imposing power-post with soft touch, deceptive agility; dominating interior presence, shot blocker, game changer in the key. (Olson)

End-of-the-Trail-July 2013: Low-post performer with imposing size and agility offers emerging interior game; space-eater on the block, finishes, over powers defenders; deceptively agile in transition; shot blocking presence, rebounder; power-post with potential. (Olson)

NW Elite Showcase-Oct. 11: Strother has all the physical tools to be one of the top posts out west, but this rising freshman plays a very young game still. Going up against players that can match up with her 6-foot-4 frame may have to wait until the club season as she plays in a district that has 3-year high schools. She does mix it up inside, which is great news for such a young post prospect, but she's not learned to drop hips and widen her base to hold post position. Because that piece is still a work in progress, her finishing is inconsistent when matched up against older, more experienced posts. There's definitely some promise, but with another year before she experiences high-school competition and the typical slower development of post players in general, we might have to speculate on her potential for a little longer before she has her breakout season.
