July 1, 2014: Clark, considered one of the truly elite prospects in the 2017 class, has given a verbal to USC and coach Cynthia Cooper.
"I made my decision prior to last weekend, visited the campus and felt that USC was the right place from me," she said.
Clark also considered UCLA and powerhouse Connecticut but said staying in her element on the West Coast was a big part of her decision.
"I feel that deciding early will help me both academically and athletically," she said. "I will be pushed more by choosing the Trojans now."
Clark, an efficient, physical interior producer, helped lead her Long Beach Poly team to a 27-3 record and a No. 3 final ranking in the espnW HoopGurlz Power 25 national rankings for 2013-14.
