Deep South Classic-April 09: Prototypical PG with plenty of NYC toughness. She's an animated piont guard with the confidence to take charge. Definitely a scoring point guard.
Kennedy Classic-Jan. 09: The major injuries St. Michael Academy of New York City has endured this season may not have served the school's national fortunes too well, but they have done wonders for the evolution of Jennifer O'Neil as a major-college prospect. Already massively advanced in leadership categories, the 5-6 point guard also has taken a leap forward in providing perimeter support for St. Michael's abundant power in the trenches. Not only do O'Neill's long-distant pulls snap the net with their beautiful and generous rotation, O'Neil carries herself more like a scorer, when needed. In business, this called much value added, as O'Neil already counteracts some lack of height with strength, passion and ballhandling panache.
Braggin Rights-Jan. 09: If consistency ever comes to Jennifer O'Neil's shooting, St. Michael's opponents are going to be in even bigger trouble. The 5-6 ballhandling demon has the ability to create shots and passes off the dribble time and again. What's more, she has the teammates around her who can make the most of any pass she throws their way. When she's on, she's on, and there are stats to prove that fact. However, when she's off she could almost become an even bigger headache for opposing coaches by giving it up rather than taking a few more looks out of frustration.
Bojangles-Jan. 09: If the tournament had a crowd pleaser award it would go to St. Michael's point guard Jennifer O'Neil. She had the biggest offensive output of the tournament with 31 points in an opening round contest against Norcross. One of the best one-on-one players in the class of 2010, O'Neil will be sought after heavily by every major Division I program searching for a lead guard. Her package is about as complete as it comes. She has deep shooting range, great ballhandling skills, a skilled passer and she's a vocal leader. She will need to improve defensively, but sometimes the best defense is a whole lot of offense and she's got that.
