ESPN Player Evaluations

Midwest Showdown-May 09: Looks like she has grown taller and stronger. Shot the ball well, showed solid fundamentals. With the added strength should could be a nice fit at the 4 in a four-out system.

Boo Williams-April 09: She has decent range on jump shot, but tends to be mechanical when trying to create off the dribble. Foot speed may hinder her ability to defend guards with top tier quickness.

Summer 08: Lauren Burford stands 6-foot-1 and is a versatile wing. Defensively she played down low and on the perimeter in man defenses and she did it well. She also worked her tail off at the high post in a 1-3-1 zone defense employed by her Fairfax Stars team. Offensively she can do a little of everything and the Fairfax, Va., wing is pretty good at many of those things. First and foremost she can stroke the three-ball. She has nice touch on her shot so even misses come off soft. She shares the ball, maintains spacing and works to get the ball into the post as well. When she's not on the floor her leadership is noticeably missing.

Very smart and versatile wing forward. Obvious basketball IQ and a player that makes her teammates around her better. Range to the three-point line and the ability to defend both on the interior and on the wing. Very smooth athlete who should get even better as she gets stronger.
